Mississippi High School Basketball - Taylorsville overwhelms Mississippi School for the Deaf
January 30, 2024: Jackson, MS 39211 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Taylorsville Tartars (Taylorsville, MS) and the host Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs (Jackson, MS), saw Taylorsville's basketball squad wallop Mississippi School for the Deaf by a count of 82-21.
With the victory, Taylorsville upgrades its record to 12-16 on the campaign. The Tartars travel to Leake County (Walnut Grove, MS) to play the Gators in a 1A Region 7 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Gators come into the challenge with a record of 12-13. Leake County won 67-37 in their recent league challenge against Stringer (Stringer, MS)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Mount Olive Pirates (Mount Olive, MS) in a 1A Region 7 challenge, on Wednesday, January 31. Mississippi School for the Deaf will attempt to upgrade on its 3-18 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 46-39 league loss to Piney Woods (Piney Woods, MS).
