January 29, 2011: Palmyra, PA 17078 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Manheim Central Barons (Manheim, PA) and the host Palmyra Cougars (Palmyra, PA), saw Manheim Central's basketball squad knock off Palmyra by a score of 55-39.
With the victory, Manheim Central improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Barons travel to Lampeter-Strasburg (Lampeter, PA) to battle the Pioneers in a Lancaster-Lebanon 3 challenge on Monday, January 31. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 12-5. Lampeter-Strasburg won 63-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Pequea Valley (Kinzers, PA)
Next up, the Cougars battle the Cedar Cliff Colts (Camp Hill, PA) in a Mid-Penn - Keystone challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Palmyra will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record.
