Gaffney Indians (Gaffney, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Clover Blue Eagles (Clover, SC), 50-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gaffney upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Indians host Spartanburg (Spartanburg, SC) to clash with the Vikings in a AAAAA Region 2 bout on Friday, January 13. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 5-10.

Next up, the Blue Eagles clash with the Nation Ford Falcons (Fort Mill, SC) in a AAAAA Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Clover will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 68-41 non-league win over York (York, SC).
