The Emporia Spartans basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Junction City Bluejays to 37 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hayden for a Centennial contest on Thursday, February 17. Emporia will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 60-52 league win over Manhattan (Manhattan, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-5.

Next up, the Bluejays play the Topeka Trojans (Topeka, KS) in a Centennial bout, on Friday, February 18. Junction City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 37-32 league loss to Highland Park (Topeka, KS).
