New York High School Basketball - Saranac Lake overwhelms Peru
January 10, 2024: Peru, NY 12972 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Saranac Lake Red Storm (Saranac Lake, NY) and the host Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY), saw Saranac Lake's basketball squad wallop Peru by a tally of 60-35.
With the victory, Saranac Lake improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Red Storm host Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY) to confront the Cougars in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Friday, January 12. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Northeastern Clinton won 80-58 in their recent league challenge against AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY)
Next up, the Nighthawks confront the Northern Adirondack Bobcats (Ellenburg Depot, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley II challenge, on Friday, January 12. Peru will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 57-50 league win over Saranac (Saranac, NY).
