In Thursday's non-league match, the host Walnut Wildcats football squad scored a good 36-8 victory over the Falkner Eagles.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Middleton Tigers (Middleton, TN) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 9. Walnut will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 0-3 record after their 30-18 league loss to Westwood (Memphis, TN).
