The Andrews Wildcats tipped the visiting Franklin Panthers basketball team by a final score of 71-64 in Wednesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) in a 1A Smoky Mountain game, on Friday, January 5. Andrews will attempt to move on its 10-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 8-3 record after their 81-46 league win over Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC).

With the defeat, Franklin moves to 8-4 on the year. The Panthers travel to Pisgah (Canton, NC) to face the Bears in a 3A Mountain 7 game on Friday, January 5. The Bears enter the game with a record of 9-3. Pisgah lost 72-69 in their recent non-league game against Swain County (Bryson City, NC)
