Texas High School Basketball - Abilene knocked off by Sam Houston
December 28, 2022: Arlington, TX 76014 The Sam Houston Texans basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Abilene Eagles to 41 in the Texans non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Texans now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Grand Prairie for a 6A Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Sam Houston will battle a Warriors team coming off a 55-43 non-league win over Memorial (Houston, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 13-4.
The Eagles (10-12) will now prepare for their contest against Lubbock (Lubbock, TX). The Westerners enter the 5A Region I District 4 contest with a 12-6 record. In their last bout, Lubbock was knocked off by Cooper (Lubbock, TX), 62-54, in a league bout.
