Texas High School Basketball - Centennial tops Cleburne
January 7, 2014: Cleburne, TX 76033 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Centennial Spartans (Burleson, TX) and the host Cleburne Yellowjackets (Cleburne, TX), saw Centennial's basketball squad knock off Cleburne by a count of 51-42.
With the victory, Centennial upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Spartans host Everman (Everman, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Region I District 8 challenge on Friday, January 10. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 12-2. Everman won 74-31 in their recent league challenge against Joshua (Joshua, TX)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Crowley Eagles (Crowley, TX) in a 4A Region I District 8 challenge, on Friday, January 10. Cleburne will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 53-38 league win over Burleson (Burleson, TX).
