Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ragsdale Tigers (Jamestown, NC), 45-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Asheboro upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Blue Comets travel to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC) to clash with the Grizzlies in a bout on Friday, January 6. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Oak Grove won 61-38 in their recent non-league bout against Wheatmore (Trinity, NC)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Southeast Guilford Falcons (Greensboro, NC) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Ragsdale will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 37-26 non-league loss to Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC).
