Virginia High School Soccer - Herndon nudges Annandale
April 17, 2023: Annandale, VA 22003 Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Annandale Atoms (Annandale, VA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Hornets confront the Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA) in a Liberty challenge, on Tuesday, April 18. Herndon will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to West Potomac (Alexandria, VA).
The Atoms now have a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Falls Church for a National challenge on Tuesday, April 25. Annandale will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Hayfield (Alexandria, VA). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-2.
