The Mountain Island Charter Raptor football squad scored 42 points and restricted the visiting Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix to 14 in the Raptor league victory on Friday.
The Raptor now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine Lake Prep for a 1A/2A West Conference A battle on Tuesday, October 5. Mountain Island Charter will play a Pride squad coming off a 41-16 league win over Christ the King (Huntersville, NC). The Pride record now stands at 3-1.
Coming up next, the Phoenix play the Community School of Davidson Spartans (Davidson, NC) in a 1A/2A West Conference A battle, on Friday, October 8. Winston-Salem Prep will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 4-2 record after their 35-12 league win over Carver (Winston-Salem, NC).
