January 27, 2023: New Caney, TX 77357 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Grand Oaks Grizzlies (Spring, TX) and the host New Caney Eagles (New Caney, TX), saw Grand Oaks's basketball squad wallop New Caney by a tally of 67-21.
With the victory, Grand Oaks improves its record to 24-6 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Conroe (Conroe, TX) to play the Tigers in a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 12-14. Conroe won 56-18 in their recent league challenge against New Caney (New Caney, TX)
Next up, the Eagles play the Cleveland Indians (Cleveland, TX) in a 6A Region II District 13 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. New Caney will attempt to improve on its 7-21 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 5-24 record after their 68-8 league loss to Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX).
