The Empire Bulldogs softball squad scored 6 runs and restricted the visiting Healdton Bulldogs to 5 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Elmore City-Pernell (Elmore City, OK). The Badgers go into the Class A battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Elmore City-Pernell nudged Walters (Walters, OK), 6-0, in a non-league battle.

The Bulldogs now sport a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Velma-Alma for a non-league battle on Monday, August 14. Healdton will meet a Comets squad coming off a 7-4 league loss to Central (Marlow, OK). The Comets record now stands at 2-7.
