The Lanier Poets football squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting Lee Generals to 7 in the Poets non-league win on Saturday.

The Poets now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Jefferson Davis for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 3.

Coming up next, the Generals play the Dothan Wolves (Dothan, AL) in a 7A Region 2 battle, on Friday, August 26. Lee will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Wolves go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 45-19 non-league win over Carroll (Ozark, AL).
