Virginia High School Football - Norfolk Academy drops to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy
October 16, 2009: Suffolk, VA 23434 In Friday's non-league game, the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints (Suffolk, VA) football team knocked off the visiting Norfolk Academy Bulldogs (Norfolk, VA), by a final score of 35-6.
The Saints (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Greenbrier Christian Academy (Chesapeake, VA). The Gators come into the VISFA Tidewater game with a 1-6 record. In their last game, Greenbrier Christian Academy was dropped by Bishop Sullivan Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA), 13-5, in a league game.
The Bulldogs now hold a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Norfolk Christian for a non-league game on Saturday, October 24. Norfolk Academy will battle a Ambassadors team coming off a 33-19 non-league win over Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA). The Ambassadors record now stands at 2-5.
