In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Ferris Saxons volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Lakeland Hawks.

The Saxons (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Shadle Park (Spokane, WA). The Highlanders come into the 3A/4A Greater Spokane battle with a 0-7 record. In their last battle, Shadle Park was edged by Northwest Christian School (Colbert, WA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
