In Friday's league game, the Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK) football team smashed the visiting Alex Longhorns (Alex, OK), by a final score of 58-6.

The Comets (9-1) will now prepare for their game against Covington-Douglas (Covington, OK). The Wildcats come into the non-league game with a 8-2 record. In their last game, Covington-Douglas overwhelmed Okeene (Okeene, OK), 46-44, in a league game.
