The Mountainside (Wittmann, AZ) varsity basketball team lost Wednesday's home conference game against Antelope (Wellton, AZ) by a score of 40-35.
The Antelope Rams basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Mountainside Wolves to 35 in the Rams league triumph on Wednesday.
The Rams now sport a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Valley Christian Academy for a 1A West contest on Thursday, January 27. Antelope will battle a Lions team coming off a 29-26 non-league loss to Benjamin Franklin (Queen Creek, AZ). The Lions record now stands at 2-17.
The Wolves (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind (Tucson, AZ). The Sentinels enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind was nudged by Lourdes Catholic (Nogales, AZ), 17-16, in a league contest.
