Tennessee High School Basketball - Goodpasture Christian topped by Marshall County
December 1, 2023: Madison, TN 37115 The Marshall County Marshals basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the host Goodpasture Christian Cougars to 57 in the Marshals non-league victory on Friday.
The Marshals now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bracken County for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 2. Marshall County will battle a Polar Bears team coming off a 93-44 non-league loss to Scott (Covington, KY). The Polar Bears record now stands at 0-3.
The Cougars (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Friendship Christian (Lebanon, TN). The Commanders come into the Division II-A Middle District 4 contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Friendship Christian was defeated by Hendersonville (Hendersonville, TN), 58-55, in a non-league contest.
