Maine High School Lacrosse - South Portland drops to Thornton Academy
May 5, 2023: Saco, ME 04072 Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the visiting South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME), 15-2 in a league battle.
The Trojans now have a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kennebunk for a Class A South battle on Tuesday, May 9. Thornton Academy will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 15-1 league win over Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME). The Rams record now stands at 7-0.
In their next game, the Red Riots clash with the Bonny Eagle Scots (Standish, ME) in a Class A South battle, on Tuesday, May 9. South Portland will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record. The Scots come into the battle with a 1-4 record after their 16-2 league loss to Marshwood (South Berwick, ME).
