Maine High School Baseball - Fryeburg wallops Spruce Mountain
May 11, 2024: Fryeburg, ME 04037 Fryeburg Raiders (Fryeburg, ME) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME), 11-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Fryeburg upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Raiders travel to York (York, ME) to battle the Wildcats in a Class B South test on Monday, May 13. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 6-3. York lost 7-1 in their recent league test against Greely (Cumberland Center, ME)
With the defeat, Spruce Mountain falls to 1-8 on the season. The Phoenix travel to Dirigo (Dixfield, ME) to battle the Cougars in a Class C South test on Monday, May 13. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 0-8. Dirigo lost 12-0 in their recent non-league test against Nokomis (Newport, ME)
