Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Byers Lions (Holly Springs, MS), 57-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Walnut upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Wildcats host Corinth (Corinth, MS) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 18. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Lions play the Nettleton Tigers (Nettleton, MS) in a non-league bout, on Monday, November 20. Byers will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
