The Desert Mountain Wolves got by the host Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Wolves (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ). The Sabercats go into the non-league battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Saguaro nudged Combs (San Tan Valley, AZ), 16-1, in a non-league battle.

The Nighthawks now sport a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Flagstaff for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 18. Ironwood Ridge will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 10-3.
