Veritas Christian Eagles (Lawrence, KS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Metro Academy Mavericks (Shawnee Mission, KS), 60-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Veritas Christian upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Heritage Christian Academy (Olathe, KS) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Friday, November 30. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Mavericks play the Grandview Christian Golden Eagles (Grandview, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 20. Metro Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
