Georgia High School Basketball - Tift County overwhelms Wayne County
December 14, 2013: Tifton, GA 31794 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA) and the visiting Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA), saw Tift County's basketball squad wallop Wayne County by a tally of 65-38.
With the victory, Tift County improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Bartram Trail (St. Johns, FL) to confront the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 20. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 5-2.
Next up, the Yellow Jackets confront the Ware County Gators (Waycross, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Wayne County will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 68-60 non-league win over Coffee (Douglas, GA).
