Illinois High School Basketball - Gibault Catholic nips Triad
February 2, 2016: Troy, IL 62294 Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Triad Knights (Troy, IL), 49-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Gibault Catholic upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The host Chester (Chester, IL) to confront the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 4. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Chester won 47-34 in their recent non-league challenge against New Athens (New Athens, IL)
Next up, the Knights confront the Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL) in a Mississippi Valley challenge, on Friday, February 5. Triad will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 8-16 record after their 81-37 non-league loss to Granite City (Granite City, IL).
