Central Red Devils (Phenix City, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Opelika Bulldogs (Opelika, AL), 52-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Red Devils travel to Lexington (Lexington, AL) to play the Golden Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Golden Bears go into the bout with a record of 3-5.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Smiths Station Panthers (Smiths, AL) in a 6A Area 7 bout, on Friday, January 13. Opelika will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record.
