Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Classical Purples (Providence, RI) and the visiting Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI), saw Classical's basketball squad wallop Narragansett by a count of 78-48.

With the victory, Classical upgrades its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Purples travel to East Providence (East Providence, RI) to play the Townies in a Division 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Townies come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. East Providence won 64-48 in their recent league challenge against Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI)

Next up, the Mariners play the Woonsocket Villa Novans (Woonsocket, RI) in a Division 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Narragansett will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record.
