The Lafayette Commodores crushed the host Pontotoc Warriors baseball team by a count of 9-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Commodores now possess a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host New Albany for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 10. Lafayette will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 10-0 league loss to Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-5.

Next, the Warriors face the Water Valley Blue Devils (Water Valley, MS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 10. Pontotoc will attempt to move on its 8-1 season record. The Blue Devils enter the bout with a 2-4 record after their 14-1 non-league loss to Grenada (Grenada, MS).
