Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ), 57-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Highland upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Hawks travel to Orem (Orem, UT) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Orem won 78-44 in their recent non-league bout against Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA)

Next up, the Pride play the Moon Valley Rockets (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 26. Mountain Pointe will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 53-48 league win over Goldwater (Phoenix, AZ).
