Florence Eagles (Florence, MS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Jones Braves (Ellisville, MS), 64-21 in a league bout.

With the victory, Florence upgrades its record to 19-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to North Pike (Summit, MS) to play the Jaguars in a 5A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 16-9.

Next up, the Braves play the Provine Rams (Jackson, MS) in a 5A Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. South Jones will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 2-18 record after their 65-26 league loss to Natchez (Natchez, MS).
