New Mexico High School Basketball - Gateway Christian knocked off by Capitan
December 8, 2022: Capitan, NM 88316 The Capitan Tigers basketball team scored 28 points and held the visiting Gateway Christian Warriors to 14 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Tigers now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alamo Navajo for a non-league contest on Friday, December 9. Capitan will meet a Cougars team coming off a 43-35 non-league win over Fort Sumner/House (Fort Sumner, NM). The Cougars record now stands at 4-1.
The Warriors (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Sumner/House (Fort Sumner, NM). The enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Fort Sumner/House was defeated by Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM), 43-35, in a non-league contest.
