The Clifton Cubs topped the visiting Rio Vista Eagles basketball team by a final score of 48-37 in Monday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Cubs face the Whitney Wildcats (Whitney, TX) in a 3A Region III District 17 game, on Friday, January 12. Clifton will attempt to move on its 14-8 season record. The Wildcats enter the game with a 6-11 record after their 77-44 non-league loss to Connally (Waco, TX).
