In Thursday's non-league match, the host Tri County Trojans basketball team scored a tight 48-45 triumph over the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds.

In their next game, the Trojans meet the Diller-Odell Griffin (Odell, NE) in a D1 District 2 match, on Friday, December 28. Tri County will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record.

With the defeat, Johnson County Central moves to 2-6 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Wilber-Clatonia (Wilber, NE) to meet the Wolverines in a non-league match on Thursday, January 3. The Wolverines enter the match with a record of 0-8.
