Oklahoma High School Softball - Kansas nudges Fort Gibson
August 11, 2023: Fort Gibson, OK 74434 Kansas Comets (Kansas, OK) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fort Gibson Tigers (Fort Gibson, OK), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Comets now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Union for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 11. Kansas will battle a Redhawks squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Deer Creek (Edmond, OK). The Redhawks record now stands at 0-0.
With the loss, Fort Gibson falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Broken Bow (Broken Bow, OK) to battle the Savages in a 4A District 5 challenge on Monday, August 14. The Savages enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Broken Bow won 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Sallisaw (Sallisaw, OK)
