January 20, 2022: Chugiak, AK 99567 Chugiak Mustangs (Chugiak, AK) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Kenai Central Kardinals (Kenai, AK), 34-32 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Chugiak upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Eagle River (Eagle River, AK) to play the Wolves in a 4A Cook Inlet bout on Saturday, January 22. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 1-8. Eagle River lost 23-17 in their recent non-league bout against Kenai Central (Kenai, AK)
Next up, the Kardinals play the Eagle River Wolves (Eagle River, AK) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 21. Kenai Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 30-18 league loss to Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK).
