In Friday's non-league challenge, the Apex Cougars (Apex, NC) baseball squad edged the host Apex Friendship Patriots (Apex, NC), by a final score of 4-3.

With the win, Apex upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Cougars travel to Middle Creek (Apex, NC) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. Middle Creek won 25-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Cary (Cary, NC)

With the defeat, Apex Friendship falls to 6-6 on the season. The Patriots host Millbrook (Raleigh, NC) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Millbrook won 12-11 in their recent league challenge against Rolesville (Rolesville, NC)
