Oregon High School Basketball - Astoria over Valley Catholic
December 29, 2023: Astoria, OR 97103 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR) and the visiting Valley Catholic Valiants (Beaverton, OR), saw Astoria's basketball squad overcome Valley Catholic by a tally of 77-58.
With the victory, Astoria improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Fishermen host Scappoose (Scappoose, OR) to play the Indians in a 4A Cowapa challenge on Friday, January 5. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 6-4.
Next up, the Valiants play the Horizon Christian Hawks (Tualatin, OR) in a 3A Lewis & Clark challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Valley Catholic will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record.
