January 31, 2023: Paintsville, KY 41240 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY) and the host Paintsville Tigers (Paintsville, KY), saw Blazer's basketball squad overcome Paintsville by a tally of 66-53.
With the victory, Blazer improves its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Tomcats travel to Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 3-8.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY) in a District 57 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Paintsville will attempt to improve on its 11-5 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 17-5 record after their 61-51 non-league win over Floyd Central (Eastern, KY).
