In Thursday's non-league game, the Central Valley Cougars (Greeley, NE) football team smashed the visiting High Plains Storm (Polk, NE), by a score of 52-6.

The Cougars (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Anselmo-Merna (Merna, NE). The Coyotes come into the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Anselmo-Merna overwhelmed Ansley/Litchfield (Ansley, NE), 48-12, in a non-league game.

The Storm now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Butler for a non-league game on Friday, September 8. High Plains will battle a Tigers team coming off a 56-6 non-league win over Omaha Christian Academy (Omaha, NE). The Tigers record now stands at 1-1.
