In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Santa Fe Prep Blue Griffins basketball team scored a tight 72-66 victory over the Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes.

The Blue Griffins now possess a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Las Vegas for a 3A District 2 battle on Saturday, January 29. Santa Fe Prep will confront a Dons team coming off a 66-47 league loss to Robertson (Las Vegas, NM). The Dons record now stands at 9-7.
