Louisiana High School Basketball - Baker holds off Donaldsonville
January 3, 2012: Baker, LA 70714 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Baker Buffaloes (Baker, LA) and the visiting Donaldsonville Tigers (Donaldsonville, LA), saw Baker's basketball squad hold off Donaldsonville by a count of 38-34.
With the victory, Baker upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Buffaloes host Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA) to play the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 12-8. Sam Houston won 56-33 in their recent non-league battle against Academy of the Sacred Heart (Grand Coteau, LA)
The Tigers (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA). The Comets come into the 3A District 7 battle with a 7-10 record. In their last battle, St. Charles Catholic was nudged by West St. John (Edgard, LA), 67-39, in a non-league battle.
