Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) and the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), saw Hoggard's baseball squad knock off Ashley by a count of 7-3.

Coming up next, the Vikings play the E.A. Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 30. Hoggard will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Buccaneers enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 6-5 non-league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).

The Screaming Eagle now possess a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Topsail for a battle on Wednesday, April 28.
