Massachusetts High School Basketball - Beverly can't hold off Methuen
December 28, 2023: Beverly, MA 01915 The Methuen Rangers basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Beverly Panthers to 63 in the Rangers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Rangers now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Andover for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Methuen will battle a Scarlet Knights team coming off a 68-63 league win over Lawrence (Lawrence, MA). The Scarlet Knights record now stands at 4-1.
The Panthers (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Newburyport (Newburyport, MA). The Clippers come into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Newburyport was nudged by St. John's Prep (Danvers, MA), 75-62, in a non-league contest.
