Grinnell Tigers (Grinnell, IA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Knoxville Panthers (Knoxville, IA), 58-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Grinnell upgrades its record to 1-17 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Indianola (Indianola, IA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 10-8. Indianola won 52-50 in their recent league bout against Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA)
