Virginia High School Football - Alleghany routed by Cave Spring

September 17, 2021: Roanoke, VA 24018

In Friday's non-league game, the Cave Spring Knights (Roanoke, VA) football team smashed the visiting Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA), by a score of 48-8.

The Knights (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Pulaski County (Dublin, VA). The Cougars come into the River Ridge game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Pulaski County was ripped by James Wood (Winchester, VA), 34-33, in a non-league game.

The Mountaineers now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Staunton River for a non-league game on Friday, September 24. Alleghany will battle a Golden Eagles team coming off a 46-6 non-league win over Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 2-1.
