Sully Buttes Chargers (Onida, SD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Highmore/Harrold Pirates (Highmore, SD), 65-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sully Buttes upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to James Valley Christian (Huron, SD) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 3-2. James Valley Christian lost 63-38 in their recent league bout against Wolsey-Wessington (Wolsey, SD)

Next up, the Pirates play the Faulkton Trojans (Faulkton, SD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Highmore/Harrold will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 73-42 non-league win over Eureka/Bowdle (Eureka, SD).
