Illinois High School Basketball - Sycamore crushes Genoa-Kingston
January 2, 2018: Sycamore, IL 60178 Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL), 44-19 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Sycamore upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Spartans host Geneseo (Geneseo, IL) to clash with the Maple Leafs in a Northern Illinois Big 12 - West bout on Thursday, January 4. The Maple Leafs go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Geneseo won 54-46 in their recent non-league bout against Normal University (Normal, IL)
Next up, the Cogs clash with the Hinckley-Big Rock Royals (Hinckley, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Genoa-Kingston will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 51-23 non-league loss to Aurora Christian (Aurora, IL).
