New Jersey High School Basketball - Pequannock holds off Lakeland Regional
January 9, 2016: Wanaque, NJ 07465 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pequannock Golden Panthers (Pompton Plains, NJ) and the host Lakeland Regional Lancers (Wanaque, NJ), saw Pequannock's basketball squad hold off Lakeland Regional by a tally of 53-50.
With the victory, Pequannock improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Golden Panthers travel to Jefferson Township (Oak Ridge, NJ) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 13. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. Jefferson Township won 68-66 in their recent non-league challenge against Mount Olive (Flanders, NJ)
Next up, the Lancers confront the Passaic Valley Hornets (Little Falls, NJ) in a Big North - Independence challenge, on Tuesday, January 12. Lakeland Regional will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 80-70 league win over West Milford (West Milford, NJ).
